Helga and Ol' Betsy

Okay, so while I should be working on other art, I became distracted. It seems like I ALWAYS get distracted. Maybe that's why I can never seem to get things finished. Who knows?

Anyway, lately I've been on a Hey Arnold! hype. My friend *marthlovesroy and I were babbling about old shows one day when I realized how much I missed Hey Arnold! I even dragged ~xMarinx into my obsession! I mean, c'mon! It was such an awesome show, and I wish Craig Barlett and Nickelodeon would put their past differences aside and continue the show. I'm begging you!

I practically grew up on the shows people consider "old" now days, and I'm starting to feel that aging is creeping up from behind me to bite me in the ass. Oh God, I'm turning 19 in a month, too! Do you know how scary that is? I feel like my life is just slipping by through the cracks of my fingers. WHY?! WHY, GOD?!

Wrinkles, here we come...

But anyway, to the point. This picture is of my favorite character in the HA series. Helga Geraldine Pataki. What a spirit! She is by far one of the most layered characters I've seen on a Nickelodeon cartoon (not to generalize) up to date. I love her so much! The inner bully in me screams for joy! GO HELGA!

I was originally gonna call it "Ol' Betsy" or "The Five Avengers," but I can't remember which fist was which for the life of me. What a shame. So here you have it, Helga's partner in crime!

OH! And would you lookit, I actually Cel-shaded for once! I'm too lazy to go into detail for Coloring these days. It's too tedious (pfft, lies! I Pen-tooled this sucker). I tried something new by adding soft shading INSIDE the bolder colors, and I think it came out okay. I think I'll experiment more :3
